Dr. Munirudheen A is an industry-turned international academic, who earned an MBA from one of the premier management institutions of India, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in 2001 during the vice chancellorship of Dr. Mohammed Hamid Ansari IFS, former Vice President of India. He was awarded the annual cash prize instituted by AMU Alumni Association, Washington DC for attaining position in the AMU MBA entrance examination in 1999. He consistently maintains IELTS (from British Council) band scores ranging from 8 to 9 and has been providing trainings to IELTS trainers across various institutes in India and abroad.
He has proven track record of excellence in product launch, business management and entrepreneurship, academic writing, educational leadership, research, teaching and training. He is the propounder of the novel ‘coproduction model in higher education’ accredited by the American Society of Quality, which has recently been chosen for further research by Kingston University and St George’s, University of London.
He had served Bajaj Auto and Thai Group of Companies in managerial positions during the early stage of his career in India. He made a successful track record in product launch of Dr. wash, an FMCG brand popular in South India during his two-year stint at the Thai Group. He formulated and implemented marketing and promotion operation models which benefited the firm to penetrate into the market share predominantly enjoyed till then by the brands of global FMCG giant Unilever. Dr. wash has got transformed itself to become the flagship brand of Thai Group over the years.
He had also served GIBCA, a multi-cultural firm owned by Sheikh Sultan Al Qassimi, the ruler of Sharjah in the UAE, taking care of sales operations of UAE and Qatar. He had been the professor of business management as well as the academic advisor at Ibra College of Technology, Ministry of Manpower, Sultanate of Oman from 2007 till 2019.
He has authored several articles and papers in peer-reviewed journals and chaired several national and international conferences. Noteworthy among is his work at the American Society of Quality which proposed a new coproduction model for education advocating reforms in university education. He has done extensive research on human capital formation through his doctoral research and advocates human capital formation through institutional and community development.
He takes active participation in community out-reach programs of educational, cultural and social nature. He has received many awards and accolades in India and abroad for his leadership roles in socio-educational endeavours. He had been the president of the school management committee of Indian school Ibra, an international senior secondary CBSE school, duly represented in governance by Indian embassy in Oman. He was also provided with a VVIP pass by the Indian ambassador during the visit of honourable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi to the sultanate of Oman in 2019. Currently, his profile is in the pool for processing Canadian permanent residency and citizenship.
